If you turn off the highway that takes you to the Costiera Amalfitana, the first town you will reach is Vietri sul Mare. From there you have view over the whole Gulf of Salerno and the beauty of it makes you feel like you are in a dream.
Vietri sul Mare is famous for the production of ceramic, that is embedded in the culture of this area. "Fatto a mano" - handicraft, in which each craftsman molds his own style into his work. In this town there are many enticing little shops and studios where you can buy the different ceramic handicrafts. Even though it is difficult for the visitors to choose from the great selection found here, almost everyone that visits ends up with a nice take-along gift to remind them of their trip to this delightful little town.
