Amalfi Coast - the land where the lemons grow

When the red sun sets over the sea on the horizon of Capri then you know you are in the breathtaking storybook region of Mezzogiorno. The sun, the sea and an atmosphere with a unique flavor of romance in the air make your everyday life seem a million miles away.
Imagine a vacation on one of the most beautiful coasts in the world; a landscape that will leave you in awe, constantly being surrounded by the wonderful smell of lemons and blossoms, romantic coves and long walks through the lush vegetation high above the crashing waves...
In the evenings have "spaghetti alle vongole" in a cute little "ristorante" overlooking the harbor and watch the indigenous people walk by as they chat away in their sing-songy language. These things do not have to remain a figment of your imagination but can be found in one of the most beautiful regions that Italy has to offer.

Italy's Amalfi Coast, accommodations, vacation tips and excursion guides for the vacation at the Amalfi Coast

The following pages offer more detailed information as well as various possibilities of accommodation that you can choose from and also directly book online.

We hope you have a wonderful vacation filled with fun and of course "amore".
One of the most amazing coastlines of Europe can be found in the Gulf of Salerno and is called the "Costiera Amalfitana". The lush vegetation full of fresh, vibrant colors, the amazing cliffs out looking the deep blue ocean and the lovely little bays and coves that could only be reached by ship in the times of the Roman empire make this whole scenery remarkably unique.

The houses artistically built into the crevices of steep cliffs and painted in the typical Mediterranean pastels form the small picturesque inviting towns that this country is known for.

Names like Nepal, Pompeii, Paestum, Ravello, Amalfi or Positano sound like music in our ears and the once mighty volcano Vesuv makes us shudder. The alluring landscape and extravagant nature let your old zest for life return and your sense of time is taken into whole new dimensions.
The coast of Amalfi is reached by leaving the "Autostrada" and going through the little town of Vietri sul Mare on a road running parallel to the coastline, which of course gives you a fantastic view of the ocean as well as the coastline all the way to the town of Salerno.

Along the Serpentines there are numerous elegant and well - kept little towns like Cetara, Maiori, Minori, Atrani, Amalfi, Furore, Conca de Marini, Praiano and Positano as well as Ravello, well - known for it’s annual music festivals.
Standing on the tip of the Sorrent peninsula you can see the popular small island of Capri that just beckons you to pay it a visit as well.
The following pages are here to help you to have a better insight into the region, it's lovable people and their way of life.

Hopefully it will also assist you in having an easier time finding your way around so that you can enjoy your vacation from the very moment it begins.
